Open parachuting championship of the Russian Armed Forces is being conducted in the Pskov sky
Army sportsmen of Russia, Serbia and Belarus compete in exact landing and aerial acrobatics at the Open championship of the RF Armed Forces on parachuting, which is conducted on the basis of the Pskov Airborne Forces’ association.
The tournament is attended by more than 15 teams representing the Airborne Forces, Aerospace Force, CSKA Club, DOSAAF, Special Operations Forces of Belarus, Armed Forces of Serbia.
In the course of the championship, 120 parachutists will make a total of about 1500 jumps from MI-8 helicopters from altitudes up to 3000 metres, using such parachute systems as ‘Malva’, ‘Parafoil’, ‘Zero’, ‘Crossfire’ and ‘Mamba’ .
The national teams are composed of many servicemen-sportsmen who are repeated winners and prizewinners of the most prestigious World and European tournaments in parachuting.
The championship will end on 30 June.
