Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the ArmyBiography
Born on 20 October 1954 in the village of Verkhneye Gurovo (the Kursk Region). He graduated from the Vol’sk Higher Military School of Logistics (1976), the Military Academy of Logistics and Transport (1984).
Served in various administrative positions of ration store of the 1st category, as well as in the following positions: the deputy commander of separate signal communications regiment on logistics, deputy brigade’s commander on logistics, deputy division’s commander on logistics, Deputy Chief of Logistics of the Trans-Baikal Military District.
In 1996 he graduated from the Military Academy of the RF Armed Forces’ General Staff with subsequent appointment as the Chief of Staff of Logistics / First Deputy Chief of Logistics of the Moscow Military District.
From 1997 – the Chief of Staff of Logistics / First Deputy Chief of Logistics of the RF Armed Forces.
In 2008–2010 – the Chief of Logistics of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation / Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
By the RF Presidential Decree of 27 July 2010 he has been appointed the Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
Hero of the Russian Federation.
Personal decorations: Order for Service to the Homeland in the USSR’s Armed Forces 3rd degree, Order for Military Merits, Order for Merits to the Fatherland 4th degree and many medals.
