Units of International Mine Action Centre returned to Russia from Syria
On December 17, military transport aircraft delivered units of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces in Nakhabino, Moscow region, from Syria.
Leadership of the Russian engineer troops, representatives of the Yunarmiya movement, veterans, and relatives took part in the ceremony.
Specialists of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces have trained over 830 specialists of the Syrian Arab Army. The Syrian specialists have already started mine action operations in towns and villages.
On December 11, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, ordered the withdrawal of troops.
