Tactical training of the Southern MD army aviation flight crews is conducted in Krasnodar Krai
Today tactical flight training with combat firings is being held at the Southern MD airbase located in Krasnodar Krai. It involves more than 60 pilots, flight engineers and land maintenance servicemen as well as 20 Mi-28N, Mi-8AMTSh, Mi-24P and Mi-35 helicopters.
At the air firing range in Krasnodar Krai the flight crews will have to perform a number of special tasks including elimination of tactical air assault of imaginary enemy, identification of moving and stationary targets, armoured vehicles, helicopters and low flying aircraft.
Helicopter crews will carry out over 30 training flights and will practice about 100 launches of unguided missiles.
Moreover, units of the land maintenance service will practice preparations for redeployment of helicopters at the reserve and operational airfields including those which are beyond the borders of the Military District.
