Foreign units marched at the military parade in step with the music of “Katusha” and “Podmoscovnye vechera” songs
Foreign military units marched at the military parade devoted to the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War in the step with the music of the worldwide famous Russian songs. This was stated by Chief of the military orchestra of the Russian Armed Forces — Chief Conductor Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov.
“We have expanded our musical repertoire. Participation of the foreign units in the military parade predetermined to include in the repertoire several worldwide famous melodies as “Katusha”, “Siny Platochek”, and “Podmoskovnye vechera”,” stated Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov.
The thousand-man strong military orchestra has been training for the parade since February.
Today the military orchestra will take part in one more festive event. “Nearby the Central Academic Theatre of the Russian Army the 600-man strong chore jointly with the Russian Defence Ministry military orchestra will perform an awesome show,” said Lieutenant-General Valery Khalilov.
