Combat divers of the Pacific Fleet are improving their skills during underwater combat
In order to check organization of the early summer training period in the Pacific Fleet, the servicemen of an underwater anti-sabotage detachment stationed on Kamchatka conducted a drill on working out skills of underwater combat and underwater shooting using the organic weapons.
The divers performed exercises on scuba diving day and night. Techniques of underwater combat were worked out with cold weapons within combat groups and individually.
Along with the swimmers, the crews of two anti-sabotage boats carried out activities to prevent possible infiltration of sabotage-and-reconnaissance units of the imaginary enemy to the Avacha Bay.
The main objective of the underwater anti-sabotage detachment is to guarantee the security of the nuclear-powered submarine cruisers based in Vilyuchinsk and surface ships from the strength of the Russian Troops and Forces based in the Avacha Bay.
