Southern MD reconnaissance men started airborne training
About 250 Southern MD reconnaissance men started airborne training at the Daryal mountain firing range in North Ossetia.
Reconnaissance men will effect training and combat jumps from a new modernized Mi-8AMTSh helicopter employing D-6 assault parachutes, fully equipped, from 600 to 2 000 meters with 20 seconds cupola opening lag. Moreover, servicemen will fire at simulated enemy in the air and land on a limited area of the airfield.
Each service member will have to meet qualification standards in theoretical and practical parts of the training as well as main and reserve parachutes packing.
During the training, reconnaissance men will also effect faultless separation from the Mi-8 helicopter model, open the parachute correctly and land on both feet.
