Aerospace Forces have performed a successful launch of the Rokot rocket booster from the Plesetsk cosmodrome
On Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 22:00 GMT a light-class rocket booster Rokot with a block of space equipment was launched successfully from the Main test cosmodrome Plesetsk of the Aerospace Forces.
The launch was conducted under the general leadership of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces – Commander of the Space Forces Lieutenant General Alexander Golovko.
The start and delivery of the spacecraft to the orbit was carried out according to the plan.
The telemetry connection was established with the spacecraft. Their systems are functioning normally.
After the delivery to the orbit, the spacecraft received numbers Cosmos-2507, Cosmos-2508, Cosmos-2509.
This is the second launch of the rocket-booster Rokot from the Plesetsk cosmodrome in 2015. The previous one was held on March 31, 2015. In total, there were 5 space launches: three rocket boosters Soyuz-2 and two Rokot’s.
