Fighter aviation of the Primorsky Krai received modernized aircraft
Today the air regiment located at the Centralnaya Uglovaya military airfield near Vladivostok has received the first three MiG-31BM interceptors, which had undergone the modernization.
With new equipment, the aircraft have become another stage in the process of re-equipment of the fighter regiment. The new avionics increased the combat effectiveness of the MiG-31BM by 2,6 times.
In the course of 2016, it is planned to replace all the Su-27SM and MiG-31 warplanes with new aircraft.
By the end of December, 2015, the flight personnel of the air regiment has finished transition trainings for the new 4++ generation multirole supermaneuverable fighters Su-30SM and Su-35S as well as for the high-altitude interceptors MiG-31BM.
The training has been held at the State centre for flight training and military testing of the Russian Defence Ministry.
