General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides
In the course of the last 24 hours, an application document has been received from a commander of a detachment active in the Homs province. So, the number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has reached 43.
Reconciliation negotiations have been continued with elders of 2 inhabited areas in the Damascus province. The total number of settlements, the leaders of which have signed reconciliation agreements, has remained the same – 51.
Results of ceasefire monitoring
In the course of last 24 hours, 9 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Aleppo, Damascus and Idlib provinces – 3 for each.
Militants of the illegal armed formation Sultan Murad Brigade opened fire with mortars against Kurdish militia detachments in Sheikh Maqsood districts (Aleppo) for two times from the districts of Ashrafia, Sakan-Shababi, Khelok, Khaidariya.
In the Damascus province, unidentified armed formations performed mortar and small-arms attacks on Zibdin, Jaubar and Beit-Nayem settlements.
Bombardments of the besieged city of Fua (Idlib province) have been also continued.
Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria
A telephone conversation took place between the Chief of the Russian Centre for reconciliation and the Director of the Office of the UN Special Envoy to Syria Khawla Matar. They discussed issues concerning interaction during the humanitarian deliveries to the province of Damascus as well as ensuring of their security.
Operational groups of the Russian Centre for reconciliation have performed monitoring of the humanitarian situation in the province of Aleppo.
Working meeting of the representatives of the Ministry for municipal administration and the operational group of the Supreme Council of the Syrian National Committee has taken place at the Russian centre for reconciliation of the opposing sides. The parties have achieved an agreement to cooperate in the field of the ceasefire monitoring and ensuring of security of humanitarian deliveries.
Rusian Centre continues receiving information concerning kidnappings. Thus, according to local inhabitants, militants of the Jabhat al-Nusra are holding over 30 people in the prison of the Kharim city (Idlib province) for ransom.
