General information on the application of measures for the reconciliation of opposing sides
Within last 24 hours, truce agreement with representatives of an inhabited area in the Homs province has been achieved.
The total number of settlements, the leaders of which had signed reconciliation agreements, has reached 91.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been held with a field commander of an armed opposition detachment active in the Damascus province.
The number of ceasefire application forms signed with leaders of armed groupings has remained 52.
Results of ceasefire monitoring
The ceasefire has been observed in most provinces of the Syrian Arab Republic. Within last 24 hours, 8 ceasefire violations have been registered in the Latakia province.
Militants of Ahrar al-Sham grouping, which had claimed to belong to opposition, carried out mortar shelling against Akch Baer, Haddada, Shmaisa, and Kermel. Ard al-Wata and Hakur Tahtani suffered two shellings each.
Russian Aerospace Forces and Syrian Air Force did not make strikes on opposition armed formations, which follow ceasefire regime and informed the Russian or American Centres for reconciliation about their location.
Humanitarian aid to the population of Syria
Humanitarian convoys to inhabited localities of the Hama and Latakia provinces are being formed.
In al-Qaryatayn (Homs province), Syrian repair brigades have cleaned 17 meters of streets from obstructions, recovered 500 meters of electricity transmitting lines. Syrian sappers have defused 7 demolition bombs.
Militants of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist grouping continued warfare in the north-west of Aleppo. They carried out shelling with multiple launch rocket systems against Sheikh Maqsood, Meidan, and al-Suryan city sectors. There are killed and injured among military servicemen and civilians.
Armed formations and Jabhat al-Nusra militants, which had claimed to belong to opposition, took efforts to launch offensive in order to capture al-Zahra city sector. Having suffered losses, militants retreated to positions, which they had kept before.
Leadership of the Russian Centre for reconciliation and the American Centre in Amman (Jordan) had a telephone conversation. The American party welcomed the proposal initiated by the Russian side concerning reestablishing the “Silence regime” in Eastern Ghuta and Northern Latakia by 24 hours (until 12 a.m. May 5) and in Aleppo by 48 hours (until 12 a.m. May 6).
