Military attaches and Vienna Document states-participants were informed about the unannounced combat readiness inspection held in the Russian Armed Forces
In accordance to the order of the Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, information about the unannounced combat readiness inspection held on June 14-22 in several armament and hardware storages and separate military control bodies of the Russian Armed Forces has been sent to military attaches of embassies of foreign states accredited by the Russian defence department and all Vienna Document states-participants by OSCE channels, said Deputy Defence Minister Anatoly Antonov
All the conducted activities did not require obligatory notification of the European partners according to the Vienna Document 2011 on confidence and security building measures. However, the Russian side has granted this information.
This is the orientation evidence of the Russian Defence Ministry to development of voluntary transparency measures and strengthening of trust.
