More than 1,500 servicemen of the Russian military base in South Ossetia attend field training
More than 1,500 servicemen of the Russian military base in South Ossetia attend field training. About 500 pieces of armament, military and special hardware are involved in the training.
Motorized rifle, tank and artillery units are practicing new methods of defensive and offensive using newest armament and military hardware.
The servicemen are operating T-72BM tanks, BMP-2 and BMP-3 IFVs, Akazia and Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers, and unmanned aerial vehicles at the Dzartsemi range.
