The Kazan Helicopter Plant is equipping the Ministry of Defence with Mi-8MTV-5 helicopters ahead of schedule
The Kazan Helicopter Plant has already supplied 100 Mi-8MTV-5 vehicles from 140 ones to the Defence Ministry. On 7 June, this was announced by the RF Deputy Defence Minister Yury Borisov during his visit to the enterprise.
According to the head of the Holding ‘Russian Helicopters’ Andrey Boginsky, the said plant is supplying helicopters under the State Defence Order significantly ahead of schedule.
The Mi-8MTV-5 military transport helicopter is a modification of the Mi-8 helicopter designed with a glance of combat operations in various conditions. It is intended for transporting land parties and cargoes in the cockpit, large-sized cargoes on external suspension, and also for fire supporting ground forces, including in night conditions.
