Air defence crews of tactical group of the Northern Fleet performed firings from Pantsyr-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes in the Arctic
Air defence units of tactical group of the Northern Fleet located at the Kotelny Island of the Archipelago of the New Siberian Islands have held tactical exercise on improving skills of using weapons in the Arctic conditions with implementation of combat firings from the Pantsyr-S1 newest self-propelled anti-aircraft missile and gun complexes.
Anti-aircraft missile and gun complex crews were performing firings at targets emitting conditional enemy’s armored vehicles and aircraft.
Templates of helicopter and APC located at large distance from anti-aircraft missile and gun complex were used as targets. They were successfully eliminated from rapid-fire guns.
According to the command, the results of the exercise once more proved high reliability of weapons and military hardware prepared for operating in the Arctic conditions. Also they pointed out high precision of eliminating the targets.
