Third ice-class tug entered service with the Baltic Fleet

The vessel was built at ‘Pella’ Leningrad Shipyard. In Baltiysk, aboard the vessel, the flag-raising ceremony was held. The tugboat reinforced the rescue unit of the Baltic Fleet.

This is the third rescue vessel of this project, built for the needs of the Fleet. A year earlier, similar tugs – SB-121 and SB-123 – entered the rescue units of the Leningrad and Baltic Naval Bases.

The displacement of SB-737 is 1216 tons, the vessel is 48m long, 13m wide, and the maximum speed is 14,5 knots. The crew is 8 people strong, endurance is 20 days.
