Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces arrived in the Leningrad region to control the Russia-Belarus logistics exercise
Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces – First Deputy Defence Minister General of the Army Valery Gerasimov has arrived in the Leningrad region in the area of the Russia-Belarus joint aviation logistics support exercise.
According to the Deputy Defence Minister General of the Army Dmitry Bulgakov, the third stage of the exercise has started at the Pushkin airfield.
As General of the Army Dmitry Bulgakov said, crews of army aviation are to redeploy to operational airfields; tactic aviation crews are to practise air refueling; logistics specialists will prepare aircraft for operating.
The Deputy Defence Minister also added that pilots of military transport aviation were to perform tasks on transportation of munitions for Iskander tactic missile complexes.
