Large-scale exercise of the Eastern MD Railway Troops was completed in the Far East
Large-scale tactical-special exercise (TSE) of the Eastern Military District’s Railway Troops was completed in the Khabarovsk Territory and Amur Region.
During the TSE practical part in the Khabarovsk Territory, military railwaymen equipped the coastal part of the ferry crossing from the village of Krasnaya Rechka and the Bolshoi Ussuriysky Island, assembled two ferry crossings with a length of 37.5 metres, and then transported vehicles and special railway equipment through the Amurskaya channel near the city of Khabarovsk.
In the Amur Region, during the TSE of the EMD’s Railway Troops formation, the restoration of the railway bridge site, destroyed by a subversive group of the simulated enemy, was carried out.
Also, the completion of a combined railway bridge with a length of more than 1 km across the Zeya River using a ramp bridge (REM-500) and a floating railway bridge (NZhM-56) was also completed.
About 1.2 thousand servicemen were involved in the manoeuvres, more than 450 sets of military and special equipment were involved, including road builders and pile-driving aggregates, truck cranes, excavators, and heavy automotive vehicles.
