Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones (October 18, 2017)
Control groups continue monitoring the ceasefire observation within the implementation of the Memorandum on creation of the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, which had been signed by the Russia, Turkey, and Iran on May 4, 2017.
Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 4 cases of firing in the provinces of Damascus (2) and Homs (2).
The Turkish party has registered no cases of ceasefire violations.
Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist groupings.
Humanitarian aid provided to the Syrian population
The Russian Reconciliation Centre has held two humanitarian actions.
Citizens of Khazaza in Aleppo province received 2.8 tons of food supplies.
Citizens of Khaldiyah in Hama province received 2.5 tons of food products.
Total number of held humanitarian actions reached 1,650. Total weight of delivered cargos is 2,240.6 tons.
Over the 24 hours, medical assistance has been provided to 308 civilians.
In total, 60,307 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, three ceasefire agreements have been signed with representatives of Kafr Mus and Fulayfil (Idlib province) as well as Tasnin (Homs province).
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements reached 2, 255.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of detachments of armed opposition in the Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, Hama, and al-Quneitra provinces.
The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is 234.
