Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones (December 7, 2017)
Control groups continue monitoring the ceasefire compliance within the implementation of the Memorandum on the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, which had been signed by the Russia, Turkey, and Iran on May 4, 2017.
Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered nine cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (7) and Homs (2).
The Turkish side has registered four cases of ceasefire violations in the provinces of Damascus (2) and Idlib (2).
Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist grouping.
Humanitarian aid provided to the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides has held two humanitarian actions:
Citizens of Sarja Kabir, Aleppo province have received 1.3 tons of food supplies.
Citizens of Zabedani, Damascus province, have received 1.9 tons of food supplies.
Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,696 with a total weight of cargo delivered – 2,335.4 tons.
Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 33 citizens.
In total, 66,582 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, no ceasefire agreements have been signed.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2, 301.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of detachments of armed opposition in the Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, Hama, and al-Quneitra provinces.
Over the las 24 hours, one application has been signed with a leader of an illegal armed formation in the de-escalation zone No. 1.The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, reached 234.
