Сoastal troops of Baltic Fleet conduct battalion tactical exercise in Kaliningrad Region
The active phase of battalion tactical exercise was conducted at the range Dobrovolsky in the Kaliningrad Region. It was guided by the Commander of the BF’s 11th Army Corps Major-General Yuri Yarovitsky.
About 1,000 troops took part in it, more than 70 units of military and special equipment were involved, including BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, T-72 tanks, Akatsiya and Gvozdika self-propelled artillery howitzers, Tunguska antiaircraft artillery systems, Grad multiple-launch rocket system, as well as the fifth-generation signal communications equipment.
During the exercise, the formation personnel with the attached forces in the constantly changing conditions met the standards for deploying subunits, tactical, engineering and special training, and in terrain actions of subunits in the conditions as close to combat ones as possible.
Units operated under air coverage organised by Su-24 aircraft and Mi-24 helicopters of the Baltic Fleet naval aviation.
