Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic (March 13, 2018)
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
The situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered 11 cases of firing in the provinces of Damascus (2), Latakia (6) and Aleppo (3).
The Turkish side has registered 12 cases of ceasefire violation in the provinces of Idlib (4), Damascus (6) and Daraa (2).
Most cases of unselective firing from small arms and mortars have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents.
Humanitarian aid provided for the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre has held no humanitarian actions.
Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,769, with a total weight of cargo delivered – 2,484.2 tons.
The UN humanitarian convoy has safely reached Tell Shihab, Daraa province with a total weight of cargo 123 tons.
Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 81 citizens.
In total, 73,305 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, three ceasefire agreements have been signed with the settlements of Huwayz, Shariah, and al-Huwayjah, Hama province.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation 434.
The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is 234.
