Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic (April 13, 2018)
As part of the implementation of the Memorandum on the establishment of de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, signed by the Russian Federation, the Republic of Turkey and the Islamic Republic of Iran on 4 May 2017, control groups continue monitoring ceasefire compliance.
The situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered four cases of firing in the provinces of Latakia.
The Turkish side has registered two cases of ceasefire violation in the provinces of Idlib and Hama.
Humanitarian aid provided for the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for Reconciliation has held one humanitarian action Ashrafiyah, Homs province. Citizens have received 1.9 tons of canned meat, sugar, and rice.
Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,783, with a total weight of cargo delivered – 2,516 tons.
One humanitarian convoy of the United Nations has received 123 tons of humanitarian cargos to Tell Shihab, Daraa province.
Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 143 citizens.
In total, 77,463 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, two ceasefire agreements have been signed with the settlements of Samad, Aleppo province, and Dmena, Hama province.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2, 505.
The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, is 234.
