Russian Defence Minister arrives in Kyzyl to attend the Council of the CIS Defence Ministers session
Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Kyzyl to chair a session of the Council of the CIS Defence Ministers.
It is place to discuss a number of topical issues concerning multilateral cooperation on security and defence.
Among other, the sides will discuss current and advanced tasks of military interaction, development of cooperation in field, air and naval training, military education, physical training and sports.
Heads of CIS military delegations will analyse implementation of military cooperation 2020 concept, and outline joint events for 2019.
Besides it is planned to ink a cooperation agreement on sharing geospatial information in the interests of the CIS armed forces, and agreement on military satellite communications.
The delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the executive committee and working bodies of the CIS will take part in the session.
The Defence Minister of Mongolia will be present at the session as a guest of honour.
