Coordination session of Chiefs of Military Services in CIS countries held in St. Petersburg
St. Petersburg hosted a coordination meeting of medical chiefs of the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, members of the Secretariat of the Defence Ministers Council of the CIS countries and the S.M. Kirov Military Medical Academy’s research-pedagogical staff.
During the event, colleagues from defence departments discussed the development and improvement of medical support for servicemen during combat operations, including in special climatic conditions.
Also, the meeting guests got acquainted with the training and clinical base of the Military Medical Academy, modern developments in the field of medicine.
“International military cooperation in the field of medicine is an integral part of the development of partnerships of the CIS member states, and contributes to the promotion of health and disease prevention for military personnel,” said Dmitry Trishkin, Chief of the Main Military Medical Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry.
The coordination meeting of the Chiefs of Military Medical Departments (Services) of the CIS member states’ Armed Forces was held in accordance with the Activities Programme of the CIS member states’ Defence Ministers Council.
