Scouts of Southern Military District train to engage illegal armed formations in mountain forests in Abkhazia
In Abkhazia, within special tactical exercise in a mountainous and wooded area, reconnaissance units of the Russian military base trained to eliminate mock illegal armed groups.
At the Tsabal training ground, servicemen using unmanned aerial vehicles and SBR-5 short-range intelligence stations determined camouflaged camps and then transmitted their coordinates to the command post of the exercises using communications equipment, then proceeded to defeat the enemy.
Scouts with the use of Vintorez special sniper rifles, Pecheneg infantry machine guns and AK-74 assault rifles attacked an illegal armed group. During the flight, the scouts seized a mock prisoner and key documents. Reconnaisance units of the base simulated the adversary during the training.
Besides, the military meet the standards of engineering and shooting training, improved their skills in camouflaging fire positions and military armaments, and crossing mock contaminated area.
In total, about 500 military personnel took part in the special tactical exercise, involving more than 40 units of military equipment, including Dozor armored reconnaissance vehicles.
