Sniper Frontier preliminaries kick off in Armenia
Sniper Frontier contest preliminaries have started at the Russian military base in Armenia. Experienced instructors during the month will train snipers within sniper pairs and groups at the Kamhud training ground in extreme mountain climatic conditions.
During training, servicemen will improve their skills in individual aiming and target selection from Dragunov and Vintorez sniper rifles with the application of corrections for atmospheric pressure, side wind and low air temperature.
They will practice camouflage issues with the use of improvised and natural resources, the use of modern range finders, meteorological stations, radio stations, reconnaissance and navigation complexes, as well as conducting combat training in pairs and as part of groups.
More than 100 servicemen were involved in training.
