Russian Defence Minister notes an increase in tension on borders of СIS states
“Given the negative trends in global and regional security, the military-political situation on the borders of the Commonwealth remains extremely tense. Under these conditions, security can only be achieved through joint efforts,“ - stressed General of the Army Sergei Shoigu at a meeting of the heads of the military departments of the CIS member states in Anapa.
At the same time he stressed that security can only be achieved through joint efforts.

“Today’s meeting is the next step on this path,” noted Sergei Shoigu.
“The Council of Ministers of Defence consistently and systematically develops multilateral military cooperation in the Commonwealth format. This is taking place in an atmosphere of acute geopolitical instability both on a regional and a global scale,” the Head of the Russian Military Department emphasized.
