Patrol ship Vasily Bykov, the Black Sea Fleet, enters the Bosphorus
The patrol ship of the Black Sea Fleet Vasiliy Bykov has entered the Bosphorus when making a scheduled transition from Sevastopol to the Baltic Fleet.
In the Baltic Fleet, the crew of the ship will take part in the Main Naval Parade in St. Petersburg to mark the Navy Day.
The crew will cover more than 5,000 nautical miles, sail through the Black, Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, North and Baltic seas, as well as part of the Atlantic Ocean.
Besides, during the transition, the seamen and crew of the Ka-27PL helicopter will practise takeoffs and landings on the ship’s deck, and conduct exercises to ensure the helicopter’s flights.
