The number of joint military events held by Kazakhstan and Central MD increase 1.8 times in three years
The number of joint military events held by the Central Military District (Russia) and Kazakhstan has increased by 1.8 times since 2017.
"Kazakhstan is undoubtedly an important strategic partner of Russia and it has a key role in Central Asia. I would like to stress that our cooperation is actively developing on a bilateral basis. It is impossible not to note the positive dynamics in our cooperation, especially when conducting joint training activities for troops. Compared to 2017, the number has increased by 1.8 times, "said the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel General Alexander Lapin.
According to the Colonel General, in 2019, it is planned to hold 13 joint operational and combat training events. "The main ones will be Shygys 2019 operational and tactical command post exercise; the Tsentr 2019 strategic command post exercise, in which units of the Republic will take part, the Unbreakable Brotherhood joint exercise within the framework of the CSTO's Combat Brotherhood 2019 exercise in Tajikistan,” the commander said.
