UK inspects 201st Russian military base in Tajikistan
As stated the Chief of the Nuclear Risk Reduction Centre Sergey Ryzhkov, in accordance with the Vienna Document 2011 on Confidence- and Security-Building Measures, the English evaluation team plans a visit to an envisaged area on July 8-11.
In the area where specialists from the UK work, the 201st Russian military base is deployed.
Such activities are held to determine the presence or absence of military activities subject to prior notification.
During the visit they will visit training areas and grounds. Also, the command of the Russian military base held a briefing, at which information about the structure and tasks of the 201st military base was announced.
