General of the Army Sergei Shoigu visits marines contest in Kaliningrad
Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, inspected one of the stages of Seaborne Assault contest of the International Army Games during a working trip to Kaliningrad.
Before the start of the third stage of the competition, which takes place today at the Khmelevka training ground, the Head of the Military Department examined the exhibition of weapons of the Great Patriotic War. At the legendary T-34 tank, the Minister of Defence was met by a 95-year-old veteran, tankman Boris Pirozhkov, who participated in the assault on Koenigsberg. General of the Army Sergei Shoigu invited the veteran to watch the competition.
