Russian air defence unit took second place in Clear Sky international contest
Anti-aircraft gunners from Russia became silver medalists of the Clear Skies contest, held as part of the International Army Games 2019 in China and ended with yesterday's Combined race at the Korla training ground. The result of the Russian crew of the Typhoon combat vehicle following the results of the final race was 1 hour 12 minutes 56 seconds, the referee's protocol signed today said.
The first place in the competition was taken by the Chinese team. The bronze medals, despite being second in the final race, went to the team of Uzbekistan.
As part of the final stage, air defence crews made races on the race track using military vehicles - the Russian team used Typhoon air defence vehicles, and the rest crews handled Chinese Type 92A armored personnel carriers.
Clear Sky competition in the framework of the fifth International Army Games was held at Korla training ground of the People's Liberation Army of China in the Xinjiang Military District. A total of four competitions held in the territory of the People's Republic of China - Suvorov Attack, Clear Sky, Gunsmith Master and Safe Environment - 24 teams compete from 12 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
