Pacific Fleet detachment leaves Vladivostok for a long-distance voyage in Pacific Rim
Today, the detachment of Pacific Fleet ships comprising the Pacific Fleet flagship Varyag missile cruiser, Admiral Panteleev large anti-submarine ship, and Pechenga medium-sized sea tanker left Vladivostok and set about solving long-distance voyage tasks in the Pacific Rim.
The commander of the campaign is the commander of the division of the Primorsky Flotilla of the Pacific Fleet, Alexander Schwartz.
It is planned that voyage will last more than three months. During this time, the ships of the Pacific Fleet will conduct exercises and trainings at sea, take part in a number of events stipulated by the plans of international military cooperation of the Ministry of Defence, and visit foreign ports with business calls.
