Evkurov checks readiness of training grounds in Kaliningrad region for the new training year
Deputy Minister of Defence Lieutenant General Yunus-Bek Evkurov, along with Colonel-General Ivan Buvaltsev, Head of the Main Directorate of Combat Training of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, during a working visit to the troops of the Western Military District, checked the readiness of training grounds in the Kaliningrad Region for the new training year, which begins in the Armed Forces from December 2.
The deputy minister inspected Khmelevka and Pravdinsky training grounds, as well as the permanent deployment point of the 336th separate marine brigade of the Baltic Fleet.
Khmelevka training ground hosted Seaborne Assault 2019 international competition for field training among the marine units, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov checked the facilities of the training ground and set tasks for its further improvement. .
During the inspection of the shooting range, tankodrome and other objects of the training range, Yunus-Bek Evkurov noted their readiness for the new training period.
At the Pravdinsky training ground of the 7th separate motorized rifle regiment of the 11th army corps of the coastal and land forces of the Baltic Fleet, the Deputy Minister checked the tank and infantry fighting vehicles ranges. Here, reconnaissance of the sites for the training camps planned for June 2020 was carried out.
The Deputy Minister noted that this is a good base for practicing tactical actions of tank and motorized rifle units.
According to the results of work at the training grounds in the Kaliningrad region, the Deputy Minister noted their high readiness for the new training period.
