Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Colonel-General Alexander Fomin, together with representatives of the Public Council under the Russian Defence Ministry, headed by its Chairman Pavel Gusev, visited the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School. (Blagoveschensk, Amur region), where he took part in solemn events dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the formation of the legendary higher military educational institution.
During the ceremonial formation of personnel on the parade ground of the school, the Deputy Minister of Defence presented state and departmental awards to distinguished servicemen of the school.
"The Far Eastern command school" has become a real forge of military specialists, high-class professionals. Its graduates are particularly in demand in our time, when the military and political situation in the world is unstable, the security threat is increasing, and there is an unprecedented fight against terrorism, " Alexander Fomin said.
The Deputy Minister of Defence had a working meeting with the administration of the Amur region and the city of Blagoveshchensk, where they discussed issues of further development of interaction in various areas of activity between the leadership of the military Department and regional authorities, including military and patriotic education of young people. In addition, representatives of the Defence Ministry and the Public Council visited the "Patriot" Park.
