Russian Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergei Shoigu handed diplomas to graduates of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces
The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu handed diplomas to graduates of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The head of the military department recalled that at different times thousands of officers, including from the armies of foreign states, with whom Russia has common goals for the development and strengthening of international military cooperation, received fundamental education at the academy. A whole galaxy of talented commanders and military leaders, prominent government and public figures, as well as heads of administrative structures of many foreign countries, came out of the walls of the academy.
Sergei Shoigu noted that “the combat experience of fight international terrorism has been successfully used in the educational process.”
General Staff's Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is a multi-purpose, state higher military educational institution, the leading research organization of a strategic and operational-strategic level.
The graduates of the academy serve in the supreme bodies of structures of the country and work in the structures of state power and administration of the Russian Federation.
The Academy conducts fundamental and applied scientific research on the problems of military science, military policy, state security, practical issues of construction, training, use and support of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and other military units and executive bodies that provide for military service.
