For the first time in online format, a planning conference was held on the preparation of the Selenga international exercises
For the first time, a conference on planning the Selenga joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise was held via video link from the headquarters of the Air Defence Forces in Khabarovsk.
During the negotiations, the Russian and Mongolian sides agreed on the dates of the exercise, the concept, the scenario of the upcoming exercise, the procedure for moving the Mongolian Armed Forces units from the unloading station to the Burduny training ground and back, as well as the holding of cultural, leisure and sports events.
In addition, representatives of the command of the combined arms formation of the Eastern Military District, during the videoconference, discussed in detail the plan for the episodes and stages of the military exercise, as well as security measures during practical actions.
Earlier, at the first planning conference, the topic of the upcoming exercise was agreed.
The Selenga joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise is aimed at combating international terrorism. During the exercise, the military personnel of the two countries, using various tactics of modern combat, eliminate mock illegal armed formations.
The international military exercise will take place on the territory of the Russian Federation, it is planned to involve servicemen of a motorized rifle unit of the combined arms army of the Air Defence Forces stationed in the Republic of Buryatia.
Selenga is scheduled to be held in early October at the Burduny training ground in the Republic of Buryatia.
