The meeting of the heads of the defence ministries of the CIS, SCO and CSTO countries will be held in Moscow in early September
A joint meeting of the heads of defence departments of the CIS, SCO and CSTO member states will be held in Moscow in early September. This was announced by Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu at a meeting with the head of the military department of Armenia David Tonoyan.
According to him, military cooperation between the two countries is developing both in a bilateral format and within international structures, primarily the CSTO.
"I will be glad to see you at the beginning of September in Moscow at a joint meeting of the heads of defence departments of the CIS member states, SCO member states and the CSTO," the Russian Minister said at a meeting held on the sidelines of the "Army 2020" International Military and Technical Forum.
He thanked his colleague for the participation of the Armenian Armed Forces contingent in the Victory parade on the Red Square on June 24 and noted the high level of training of the servicemen.
"This is a big, significant event for all of us. This is our common holiday. The holiday is actually of one nation, " Sergei Shoigu said.
According to the head of the Defence Ministry, the relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and cooperation should be passed down from generation to generation, as well as the memory of the great feats of fathers and grandfathers, and be strengthened every year.
The head of the Russian Defence Ministry wished the Armenian teams victories in the International Army Games and invited his colleague to discuss topical issues of bilateral cooperation in the military sphere.
