A solemn meeting devoted to the transfer in operational control of the commander of the multi national task force units of the Pskov paratroopers arriving to Brest to participate in joint Belarus-the Russian tactical exercise "Slavic brotherhood – 2020" took place on a parade-ground of the "Brestsky" range in the Republic of Belarus.

Comrade officers, warrant officers, sergeants and soldiers, I am very pleased to see you in this formation. I see in front of me guardsmen, people who are particularly aimed at victory.
I had to participate in almost all the "Slavic brotherhood" exercises, both on the territory of the Russian Federation and Serbia, and on the territory of the Republic of Belarus. And it always ended with one, high result, and I am sure that you will demonstrate this result this year."
“Literally today you will begin conducting training, organizing our joint divisions. We, as the leadership of the exercise, tried to develop a plan in which you need to directly cooperate in these training and combat conditions. A lot depends on you so that you can implement this plan. But the most important goal, of course, is not "success", but what follows from the very name of the exercise "Slavic brotherhood". After all, in these two weeks you should really make friends and become brothers, so that when you leave, you can say: "I have a brother in Belarus or I have a brother in Russia, in Pskov. I wish you all success, a peaceful sky above your head, and a good journey to victory, " said guard Colonel Vladimir Bely.
In response, the head of the Russian delegation, Deputy Commander of the Airborne troops of the Russian Federation for peacekeeping operations and collective rapid response forces, Lieutenant General Andrey Kholzakov, thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome, noted that 2020 is an anniversary year for the Airborne troops of the two countries, in connection with the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the formation of the airborne troops, and wished all participants of the exercise excellent service and new success in serving their country.
