Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu announced the creation of a closed system for discussions with government officials
The Russian military, using the Portal system, have created a closed information space for discussing defence issues with government officials. This was announced by the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu at an interdepartmental scientific and practical conference, which took place today in Moscow.
“Information exchange has been established with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation through the Portal system. This allowed for the first time to create a confidential unified information space between different levels of government”, - he said.
Sergei Shoigu noted that the system of interdepartmental interaction withstood the test of the events of 2020 and was further developed. According to him, new forms and methods of interaction have been developed, "a higher level of efficiency and coordination has been achieved".
The Minister called the fight against coronavirus a task of state importance and recalled the multi-functional medical centers built in the regions and successfully operating, and mobile hospitals deployed in the centers of infection.
He also mentioned the humanitarian and practical assistance provided to foreign partners.
In addition, the Minister said that great importance is paid to the implementation of the state armament program, the implementation of which is monitored on a daily basis, and the development of a system of military-patriotic education of youth.
“In addition, social issues of servicemen and their family members are being successfully resolved in cooperation with regional authorities. Fulfillment of such a wide range of tasks required coordinated approaches and proactive actions of state authorities”, - Sergei Shoigu added.
