Military medics treated more than 1,600 patients with COVID-19 in the Kurgan region in three weeks
Specialists of the combined medical unit of the Russian Defence Ministry have cured more than 1,600 patients of medical institutions in the Kurgan region of coronavirus in three weeks of work.
As a result of the work of military medics in medical institutions of the Kurgan region, daily examinations, adjustments in the treatment of patients with coronavirus, and regular consultations of civilian doctors on therapeutic measures in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 1,600 patients who were cured of coronavirus were discharged from Kurgan hospitals in three weeks.
The combined medical unit of the Russian Defence Ministry continues to provide assistance to patients and medical specialists in the Kurgan region. The medical and nursing team consists of military personnel who have experience in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with coronavirus infection. The unit includes military anesthesiologists-resuscitators, pulmonologists, therapists, infectious disease specialists, cardiologists and epidemiologists.
Earlier, at the request of the head of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu ordered to provide assistance to the Kurgan region in the fight against coronavirus infection.
