On November 20, 2020, Russian peacekeepers escorted another convoy of buses and personal vehicles with refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh from the territory of the Republic of Armenia.

23 buses and 250 private cars proceeded from Yerevan to the main square of Stepanakert, accompanied by patrols of the peacekeeping contingent and the military police of the Russian Federation.

Russian military personnel ensured the safety of buses moving across the contact line to return civilians to their homes in Stepanakert.

More than 1,900 people returned to their homes per day.

Ensuring the safety of the return of refugees and the safety of movement across the contact line of civilians to return to their homes is organized under the guidance and control of the Interdepartmental Humanitarian Response Centre.

Since November 14, more than 6 thousand residents who had previously left their homes have returned to Stepanakert.

By order of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, within the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin "On additional measures to maintain peace in Nagorno-Karabakh", the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation began to form a Joint Centre for Humanitarian Response in Stepanakert. Since November 14, 2020, as part of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation in Stepanakert, a group of the newly formed Centre under the leadership of Major General Andrei Volkov has already been deployed, which ensures the safety of the return of refugees to Nagorno-Karabakh: during November 14, 2020, the escort was carried out through the Lachin corridor 9 buses (250 people), November 15: 19 buses (475 people), November 16: 19 buses (482 people), November 17: 24 buses (502 people), November 18 - 23 buses (936 people), November 19 - 27 buses (1,235 people).
