Russian Air Force to conduct three all-Russian contests
This year the Russian Air Force will hold three large-scale all-Russian contests for airmen (“Aviadarts”), crews of the Air Defence Troops (“Key to the sky”) and a contest of radio-technical troops.
The all-Russian contest among crews of S-400, S-300PM-1, S-300PS systems and missile and gun AA systems Pantsir-S1 from Air Force and Air Defence Troops formations of all Military Districts as well as from the Navy and the Aerospace Defence Forces will take place at the Telemba firing range in Transbaikalia.
Contest participants will perform air defence missions and will engage low- and high-flying, highly-maneuverable, high speed aerial and ballistic targets from battle and route formation.
The contest of radio-technical troops will include missions of marching, repelling imaginary enemy reconnaissance groups, deploying a radar station, its topographic precise positioning, detection and tracking aerial targets and providing information on them.
Crews of “Kasta 2-2”, “Nebo-M” systems from Air Force and Air Defence Troops formations of all Military Districts as well as from the Navy and the Aerospace Defence Forces will take part in the competitions at the Ashuluk firing range (Astrakhan Region).
The all-Russian contest “Aviadarts-2015” will involve crews of fighter, bomber, attack, army, military transport and long-range aviation. For its purposes unique target installations will be set.
