Su-25SM3 crews of the Southern MD aviation regiment in the Kuban region attack mock enemy airfields
Using the latest Su-25SM3 assault aircraft, the squadron of the Southern MD aviation regiment in the Kuban region practiced attacks on the mock enemy airfields.
Performing tactical flight tasks, aircraft pilots mastered the methods of covert overcoming the air defence systems of the mock enemy in the steppe and forest and mountain regions. In addition, they practiced sudden attacks on targets.
Defeating targets was performed at extremely low altitudes outside air defence systems’ detection zone with the use of anti-aircraft maneuvering.
Hitting ground targets, aircraft pilots simulated the use of a full range of aircraft weapons, depending on the type of target.
In addition, the aircraft pilots used guided and unguided missiles on targets in direct line of sight and on designated coordinates.
To perform the tasks of the planned flight training of the Southern MD Air Force, more than 200 flight and engineering personnel and about 10 Su-25SM3 assault aircraft were involved.
