The all-Russian stage of the "Aviadarts-2020" competition started in Ryazan
In Ryazan, the opening ceremony of the all-Russian stage of the "Aviadarts-2020" flight skills competition took place at the Diaghilev airfield.
The event was held under the leadership of the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces, Lieutenant General Andrey Yudin.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the regional and city administration, the command team and the judging panel of the competition, participants representing the aviation units of the Aerospace Forces and all military districts.
The all-Russian stage of the "Aviadarts-2020" competition will be held until July 11. The competition will involve airfields in the Ryazan, Kaluga and Bryansk regions, as well as the Dubrovichi training ground near Ryazan.
The competition will be attended by more than 50 crews of operational-tactical, long-range, military transport and army aviation, who have been selected in formations, units of the Aerospace Forces and in military districts.
At the training ground where the practical part of the competition will take place, the target field and infrastructure facilities are currently being prepared. In particular, for each of the contestants, personal targets are placed, indicating the technique of the conditional opponent, and scoring zones, with hitting which the flight crew receives the appropriate points. In addition, the range presents 12 types of targets (tactical, shooting, bombing and radar targets), including an airfield with a parking lot of aircraft and a duty pair of aircraft on take-off, anti-aircraft missile systems at launch positions, a tank company on the march, a motorized infantry company in the area of a deployed command post, a set of models of automotive equipment.
In total, more than 200 Russian Aerospace Forces crews took part in the qualifying stages of the "Aviadarts-2020" competition.
More than 30 airfields and more than 150 aircraft of 15 types were involved in the competition, including Su-27SM3, Su-30SM, Su-35S, MiG-29SMT, Su-24M and Su-34 bombers, Su-25 attack aircraft of various modifications, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-35, Mi-28N and Ka-52 helicopters, and others.
