The fighters performed 25 sorties to intercept air targets during the CIS air defence training
As part of the ongoing training with the command bodies and air defence duty officers of the joint air defence system of the CIS member states, the crews of the Su-27, Su-30SM, MiG-31, and MiG-29 aircraft on duty took off to the air to intercept aircraft that violated the state border 25 times.
Su-27, Su-30SM, MiG-29, MiG-31 interceptor fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the air force and air defence Forces of the Republic of Belarus and the air defence Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan are on combat duty for air defence at their airfields in 10-minute readiness for departure.
After receiving a signal about the detection of unidentified aircraft that violated the state border with the republics of Belarus and Kazakhstan, these aircraft headed for the state border, where they conducted aerial reconnaissance, found the violating aircraft and carried out their conditional destruction.
Fighters were guided to the target by the A-50 radar patrol and guidance aircraft, which performed radar reconnaissance in the air. It guided the crews of interceptor aircraft to the target and provided information to ground command posts in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The crews of Su-27, Su-30SM, MiG-29, and MiG-31 fighters took off and detected intruder aircraft as soon as possible.
