Space troops of Aerospace Forces successfully carried out the blast off of Angara launch vehicle from Plesetsk Cosmodrom


Today, December 14, at 08:50 (Moscow time), a test launch of a heavy-class carrier rocket was carried out by crew of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces from the launch pad of site No. 35 of the State Test Cosmodrome of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation (Plesetsk cosmodrome) in the Arkhangelsk Region Angara-A5 with the overall mass model of the payload.

All the pre-launch operations and the launch itself was carried out as planned. Ground means of Aerospace Forces carried out control of the launch and flight of LV.

This is the second test launch of the Angara-A5 heavy-class launch vehicle. The previous launch of the Angara-A5 LV from this cosmodrome was carried out on December 23, 2014.
