First preparations for Airborne Platoon contest kicks off
On July 29, participants of the international stage of the Airborne Platoon 2019 competition, which will be held in Pskov region as part of the International Army Games, have begun preparations for the first stage.
In preparation for the first stage Platoon airborne landing, gathering at the landing site, making a 10 km march with the participants of the competition, training was conducted on the shells of the airborne complex, during which the servicemen used the special-purpose parachute systems Arbalet-2 and D-10.
All participants of the competition have completed the actions of a paratrooper during separation from the aircraft, landing, paratrooper actions in the air, and extinguishing the dome in strong winds.
For representatives of Cambodia, Mali, Angola, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Tajikistan, such trainings are not held for the first time, since they all study at the Ryazan Higher Guards Airborne Command Schools and airborne training are among the most important in the study process.
Today, paratroopers from 21 countries will make the first jumps at Kislovo landing site in preparation for the first stage .
The opening ceremony of the competition will take place on August 3 at the Zawelichye training ground. Competitions will be held in four stages.
