Russian paratroopers takes part in first stage of Interaction 2019 international exercise
Military personnel of the countries participating in the Interaction 2019 exercise began their first joint training at the Mulino training ground in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
As part of the preparatory phase, the paratroopers of the Kostroma Parachute Regiment, together with the military contingents of the CSTO and the troops of the Western Military District, practiced joint tactical actions.
More than 150 military personnel on MI-8 helicopters were deployed over a distance of over 15 kilometers and landed in the landing area in the designated area, where they practiced actions in defence.
Paratroopers held the defenses until the main forces arrived.
In total, about 3,000 servicemen were involved in the development of tactical actions and more than 300 pieces of hardware of various modifications were involved.
